Question FNM Ammo ?

Has anyone ever used this ammo? I just bought 100 rds of .303 (non-corrosive) and 200 rds of 8mm (non-corrosive) and was wondering how it will perform.

Thanks

I just shot a box of FNM 7.5x54mm MAS ammo that I recently purchased from Cole's (139gr FMJ military spec load) in a MAS M49/56. It was quite accurate and operated the action perfectly 20 times... You can't do better than that...

FNM is a Portuguese company. Until recently, FNM boxed ammo was made in Portugal. As far as I know, all of the current production FNM boxed ammo is made in parts of the old Yugoslavia (Bosnia/Serbia/others). It is made by people who have been manufacturing ammo for a long time, and it's good ammo.

Have fun with your .303 and 8mm Mauser.

I picked up 300 rnd of the 7.65 and 100 rnds of the 8mm from Coles. Haven't had a chance to try it because of the weather. This weekend looks lost also. Were expecting 14 - 24" of snow. Maybe next weekend. I have read reports from others that were all positive.

I've shot some of the 8x57 and been very happy with it, nice, clean, reloadable ammo.
I wont venture to say exactly how accurate it is, as it was all shot over Mauser open sights and my eye's find them quite lacking at best.
Not sure of the vintage I have off hand, but I bought it about 5-6 years ago and it came in 80 or 90 rd fold close boxes with a cloth tie cord.
Havent tried the 303 yet. Let us know what you think of it.
Cheers, YOOO VINNY

It's hard to find 8mm and .303 in noncorrosive at an afordable cost. Coles has 8mm, 198 grain FMJ for $5.95 a box and .303, 174 grain FMJ for $6.95 a box plus shipping.

I just picked up a Hakim and will be using the FNM 8mm ammo in it . I plan on buying more as soon as I can get some more money together.

I don't get to shoot very often. The last time I went to the range to fire some of my personal weapons was the beginning of last year . Well at least I have a chance to stock up between trips.

I've shot their .30-06 (made to M2 ball specs) in my Garands and their 6.5 x 55 Swedish in my Swedish Mausers with good results. Coles sells good stuff.

I believe Privi Partizan in Serbia makes a lot (if not all) of FNM's ammo.

I shot the .30-06 and .303 and liked them both. Buying the .303 in case quantity is the best route. It's kind of expensive but 1000 rounds should last you awhile.

Their 6.5 shoots well enough in my Swedes that I have not even tried to hand load it yet. But the brass is worth saving

MACV, just type "303" in the "Search Our Site" box on the home page (link provided by ftierson.)

All the different FNM .303 British listing/prices will appear.

Thanks, I book marked the Coles link. Im in search of non corrosive 8mm Mauser. All the US made 8mm ammo is loaded down. Hope this FNM is pretty hot or at least near spec.

I shoot the FNM stuff out of my Swedish sniper in 6.5x55mm. I've tried the FNM in .303 out of a No.4 Mark 2. Its quite accurate and holds the same POI as the milsurp stuff. I like it.
