I just recently received my Israeli FAL build from Rich Saunders of Century Gun Works: Rich@CGW
Please excuse the photos, as I was using a rather poor quality camera. First off, I want to say that Rich was great to deal with, and a pleasure to talk to. He kept me informed of the status of my rifle, and listened to my numerous concerns and requests during this build. Personally, I believe that Rich really goes above and beyond to make sure that the customer is satisfied. I have absolutely no complaints about my rifle, except that it actually looks too nice to shoot (but I will). Here's the info on the rifle itself and supplied parts: All new/excellent Israeli heavy barrel kit with open ear gas block (from John Hudgens). Barrel cut down to 18 inches, just behind the bipod coupler notch in the top of the barrel. Barrel also has an 11 degree recessed target crown. Furniture stripped and coated with tung oil. Needs some more coats but looks good for now. Original new Israeli pistol grip. Israeli light barrel carry handle and semi-auto selector. Original Israeli bolt with one-piece extractor exchanged for new two-piece extractor bolt. DSA type-2 receiver (Israeli type-2 lower receiver). DSA Izzy gas tube. All metal Duracoated with the satin HK-type black finish. US parts are the DSA receiver, DSA gas piston, DSA magazine floorplate and a FSE hammer, trigger and sear. Rifle is heavy, but balances nice. Also balances well using the carry handle. The only "used" part on this whole rifle is the buttplate washer from an Imbel kit. I haven't shot the thing yet, but everyone I show it to is amazed. They also can't believe how freakin' heavy it is! Anyway, here's the photos...
