Anyone know if Lithgow had a crest or coat of arms?

Curious if you got the BGS done, if so how does it look?

They just need a picture to go by or do they need a .dxf or .dwg file?

All they need is a picture. They keep the crest on file of ones they have done.
They will send you a picture of your receiver with what it's going to look like.
He wants to make sure you get what you expect. Cole is a great guy to deal with.

+1 on that, they are going to be doing the Brazilian crest on my m964 clone.

Negative. Hoping for a call back tomorrow with a time frame. Cole has been working on some big warehouse project and his business partner has had trouble getting ahold of him. Hoping that I either get a timeframe or my receiver shipped back. After 5 months of waiting I'm getting anxious to just get my imbel together.

Blown away!

So, after a very frustrating process that was at times uncertain, Cole came through and exceeded all expectations. Unfortunately timing was bad for my project, but I am more than pleased with the results. The project that pushed mine back is now completed and the wait times should be back to normal. Here's what I got today

Brazilian, Cole did most of the artwork himself, and due to the issues getting it done, it was free of charge. They really went above and beyond in the end, great guys.

Here's what I sent him to copy

That Brazilian crest looks great. I wonder if I could talk my wife into an IMBEL with engraving. Maybe, a couple of caipirinhas would move things along...

Not trying to bust chops, but an important detail for a detail oriented bunch.
Crest/national markings were done at the factory before the final protective finish.

Engraving

So i have a really nice STG that im stripping down and replacing the Hesse receiver with an Enterprise type1 ABNI receiver. Seen the engraving pics and WOW! Made me think about having the magwell engraved with an Austrian crest. Will having the crest engraved on it affect the value? I know if i ever tore it down that the engraving limits the future use of the receiver in a different build so what say ye all? Engrave or not? Pro's , con's?

Kinda excited as this will be my first build. Barrel, receiver, and timing tools are on the way, pin set bought, gunsmithing screwdivers and punches all enroute 😊
Thanks

I know I should look at the Rhodesian thread but did they have a crest?

Also, could you repost the Brazilian one since photobucket is evil?

Rhodesia never had a specific FN contract, so no, they did not have a crest. I do not believe their L1A1s had a crest either. Early South African-supplied R1 rifles had the RSA crest, which was drilled out before transfer to Rhodesia, leaving a quarter-sized hole in the side of the magazine well where the crest was. Later rifles supplied to Rhodesia were devoid of any South African markings, to include the crest.
