WTK - Final Finish and TMS Products

Moderators; please move this thread if this is not the appropriate location for the subject.

Posted this on another forum where some here are also members so ya' might see this WTK twice.

From a thread on potential M14 accuracy I saw this product mentioned. Never heard of Final Finish or TMS before but have done some research online. Interesting concept for those, like myself, who do not have the tools and/or resources to hand lap a barrel. Am looking for feedback from those who have tried the Final Finish/TMS products and their experience with same.

Some questions:

Was the product used on a new or existing barrel? All product reviews I've found reference use on new barrels as part of a break-in process.

What were the results?

If used on an existing barrel, was accuracy improved?

Any other feedback based on first hand experience?

Thanks All.

I have used both and had nothing but positive experiences. Both new and used barrels, factory and match grade.
The last rifle I did was my FAL and here are two groups right after at 200yds:

Great shooting. The gun, the load, and the shooter were all on kill that day.

I tried Final Finish on an old Remington 700 heavy barrel. I noticed no change in accuracy or ease of cleaning/copper fouling.

I have also done one or two 700P's but don't remember the results. Those guns generally shot pretty good in the first place.

Here is another result:
I had around 3300 rounds on my Krieger barreled Palma rifle and the throat was a little rough. SS barrel. I wanted to clean it up a little so IIRC I ran the last 3 grits of a FF kit through the barrel per it's instructions on match barrels.
I was taking a chance because I was heading to some long range championships in a couple weeks but I took it to the range and everything looked fine at 300yds. And it did clean up the throat even with the 3 finer grits. It was a '95 Palma chamber so I wasn't worried about it getting too long.
I couldn't have asked my rifle to shoot any better than it did. It was great. Believe me when you are shooting 155gr. bullets at 800, 900, and 1000yds YOU WILL KNOW if something is wrong.
Anyways, after another 500 rounds or so I sent it to a well known barrel installer for a new barrel.
I got a call a couple days later asking me why I wanted a new barrel since this one looked almost new in the bore scope.
They couldn't believe it had that many rounds on it.
Got a new Border barrel anyways but I always thought it was a good story about the FF kits.
Sorry for the short story.
