New Lithgows..

Anyone have any experience with the new Lithgow made rifles being imported? I have seen a few posts on the .22, the LA101, looks like an extremely accurate rifle.

At those prices, its going to have to shoot VERY well indeed to replace my 77/22 but as the 77/22 already shoots around an inch, I see no point in coughing up close to a grand for a .22...

Already outclassed by any number of domestic makers at much less than half the price and by Tikka at much less. Sorry, unless you absolutely have to have a Lithgow marked rifle, there are far better weapons at less money.

Never a chance of that happening. There is just not a big enough market for them..and the tooling/designs are long gone from LGW for them now. Not that they couldn't on what they have, just not worth doing and, unless I miss my guess, they would not be legal for import to the US if they did. My Gunsmith turns up several SLR barrels a year for customers, both Govt and Private (all legally held rifles - just to be clear).

ran into the early batches of these "new " Lithgow 22 rifles, they look like a combo of savage and CZ rimfire guns, they had all sorts of problems with the mags breaking, not feeding, trigger problems, when they did fire they were as accurate as any $1000 rimfire. that was the cost 3 years ago.
for the money in Australia I could buy 2.7 CZ rifles. I came back to the US before they released the centerfire guns, but those that I have spoken to who have used the gun were not impressed, you could get 3 howa/weatherby guns for the price and they shot better.
Lithgow has not been any good since the French company took them over in the mid 1980s.
