Dragon Man's or Dragon Arms.

1225 Dragon Man Dr.

(719) 683-2200

http://www.dragonmans.com/

Just off the intersection of Curtis Rd. and Colorado 94 in Eastern El Paso County. About 10 miles east of Colorado Springs on C94. From Platte Ave. (US24) and Peterson Rd. (road into Peterson Air Force Base) go east on 24 to Marksheffel Rd. Turn right. Go to 1st. left (C94). Turn left on C94. Go about 8 or 9 miles from there to Curtis Rd. Turn left on Curtis. Go about 1/2 mile to Dragon Man Dr. There are lots of big signs! Go up the road to the range. Check in at office before going on to range.

You can shoot near anything. Ask at range about what they will allow on regular days. Full auto is OK anytime. Up to 50 cal. is OK anytime. I don't believe tracers or incendiary are allowed as a rule. Range is around 20 lanes. Has 100yd. for longest and pistol is about 50ft.

I and a few other members here are members of the Buffalo creek gun club.

Has to be the the most private and pretty range in CO. 200 to 600 yds. Pistol on the berm. We camp and spend 3-4 days at a time. Matches, Clinics.

Go here.BCGC

If someone wants to be a member they can contact me. It takes a member to sponsor a new one.

L1A1. I will be there on sat. Jon Coppenberger has a table and I will be at it.
I will bring Info with me about the range. I will have one of my FAL shirts on.

I may bring one of the FAL's just for looks. Put a big price tag on it so it does not go anywhere.

jerrymrc, I have found that we have to be real careful putting a gun on the table for display and hope NOT to sell it by placing a "big" price on it. That's happened to me five or six times and then I could hardly back down after pricing it. Be sure to put an outrageously H I G H price on it if you really don't want to sell it. IMHO. If things work out for me, I hope to attend the X-roads show on SAT as a spectator/buyer.

Hey guys,
I will be living in Colorado in about 2 or 3 months. We will be in the Ken Caryl area of the greater Denver area. I took a look see at the Buffalo Creek Gun Club and I like what I see. I will admit that I don't agree with some of the rules but it looks like a great place to shoot. How far is this range from the south western part of the greater Denver area? We will be "outside" the loop in the southwestern corner.

I go here atleast every other weekend or so. $10/day as many guns as you want to bring. $5-8 for military if you ask for the discount depending on who's working. They also have discounts for groups. They have a shotgun and 200yd range but haven't been over to see it yet. Don't miss the machine gun shoot Sep 11th 2005. Over 150 machine guns will be out there which you can rent. Also Mel will have his minigun out there to put a few rounds down range at an Osama Bin Laden doll.

Pike's Peak Gun Club is great
http://www.pikespeakgunclub.org/
trap, skeet, sporting clays, rifle range, pistol range

you have to be a member or with a member to shoot

10 min East of Colorado Springs and 5 min West of Dragonman, much nicer, no unsafe ganster wannabes, usually not many people at the pistol and rifle ranges if any

well worth the cost if you shoot much at all

A very nice range it is. But I don't like not being able to shoot standing, seated or prone on the rifle range. The last time I was there, all I saw was bench rest shooting. It would be fine for sighting in, but not for competitive or "real" shooting.

I like Frontier Sportsman's Club better for that reason, and also because they keep the costs down.

The grasslands are way to crazy for me. A true wild west shooting. Last time I was there I had a 4 wheel drive come over the berm as well as rounds flying over my head. No thanks.

Currently I shoot at Weld County Fish & Wildlife a.k.a. High Plain shooting Range. You have to be a member and there is a waiting list.

Frontier Sportsman's Club near Falcon CO.
38 deg 53' 12.49" N, 104 deg 35' 42.72 W on Google Earth for a sat-picture

http://www.frontiersportsman.com/hom...d8650c1186376e

A range with nice gun people and safe range practices. Pistol, shotgun, and 100/200/300 rifle berms. It's a nice place to shoot.

There is usually a waiting list to join up, but there are events you can attend if you are not a member, and you can go as a guest of a member.

Ben Lomond Gun Club

Don't see any mention of Ben Lomond Gun Club. It's pretty spartan at the moment, but we've got range improvements going on all the time.

No waiting list for members, $100 initiation fee, and $50/yr. after that.

www.blgc.org

Let me know if you want to visit. I can take as many guests as I like.

In Pueblo there is a 24 hour indoor range that has open membership, I think, I'm not a member.

there is also the Pueblo West sportsman's association, which has a waiting list, but has 12 or so ranges, plus a trap range, bow range, muzzle loading range, etc.

There is a public shooting range available at the top of the Landfill Rd in Keystone.

Take Hwy 6 south from Dillon toward Keystone and head East on Landfill Road (there is a sign poinitng to the landfill).

Go to the weigh in station and tell them you are there to shoot, or just give the attendant a hand signal - forefinger and thumb as a pistol.

It is unattended and free. No target holders so take you own. Good new is, I've never been there and had any company. Bad news is its unattended...so you may need snow shoes .
