DIY Camo Dip Kit - Support

Many of you have been asking questions about our DIY camo dipping kits ( http://www.camodipkit.com ) - I would like to set up this thread to answer any technical questions about the process. So if you have them, ask away...

Well,

I see that you sell the kits, are there any professionals that do the dipping as a service? In addition if I wanted a Desert Flecktarn pattern am I out of luck?

Thanks
Thorack

Leave your ad selling the kit here but you should move the support thread to gunsmithing or FN or somewhere else as I am sure some will be $*&**@ about it here as it is bumping other ads everytime someone responds to the thread. I think I will be ordering one for an Imbel Rifle I have ready to go. I just don't know which pattern to pick as there are so many of them to choose from.

badzero,

Click on the link in the first post. You can buy a DIY multicam kit for $99.

are there any professionals that do the dipping as a service ? so let's say $150 to do my AR or less to do my sig p6 . I would rather pay to have it done by the pro, than spend $99 and have it AFU.

Yes there are many pros that will do dipping for you. Pricing varies on size of item, but most guns will run 150-200 for a full gun. Our DIY Dip Kits are more for the folks who like taking on projects themselves.

vent rib?

I apologize for getting away from the FAL theme, but I wonder if this is a solution for my problem gun. I have a 3.5" 12 ga O/U waterfowl gun that I had hard chromed then coated with Brownells black teflon type finish. The Teflon scraped off at sharp edges and where the barrels rubbed against the gunnels of my boat so it is ugly!

1. Would I need to strip this down to the hard chrome before applying?
2. The shotgun has a vent rib. Would the finish flow into the apertures?

Thanks

Dave

No you do not need to strip it down, just clean in well... Yes it will camo all of the vented areas as well....
