Great day hunting.

I took my first real buck today. I have taken doe's and a couple small Buck's, but this is my first nice one. I was in Lauren's county Georgia. I shot him at around 165 yard's right at dark. Rifle used was my tikka t3 .308. I used a handload with speer 165 grain btsp bullet over 43 grain's of H4895.

Very nice!!.....

Question for you....how do you like your Tikka T3 in .308??....do you like it better than a Remi 700? I've read reviews on the Tikka that claims 1/2 MOA accuracy.

I have hunted with the Tikka for 4 season's now and am very happy with it. The only Remington I have owned was a sps varmint 308 that was very accurate and I regret getting rid of. Would I get another Tikka as a light accurate hunting rifle that's good for carrying around the woods? Absolutely! I love it.
