Yes I know the forms indicate entry fees are $10 for members and $15 for guests in one place and $20 in others. I will fix it tonight when I get home. If you can't wait then mark up the form. THE CORRECT ENTRY FEE IS $10 FOR MEMBERS AND $15 FOR GUESTS.

You're in for a treat. You'll see just about every variation of a FAL, beaters and beauties. You'll get to watch people who can actually shoot the hell out of the thing on a challenging course of fire. Then you get to get out in front and do it.
You get to stand up in a whole line of shooters and make God's own noise during the target stage. Three minutes, thirty rounds. Standing, sitting and prone. You'll probably get hit with hot brass in the head during this. Six seconds a shot, don't rush yourself just cause it sounds like the end of the world. Bring stuff to swap or sell. Even better, bring something for a prize. Ima do that this year. Jump in pasting targets and resetting steel. Ain't no strangers there and more hands make light work. DON'T paste no targets until they're scored! Make some new friends. I have outta' this bunch and consider myself extremely fortunate. Did I mention I kinda' like this little smoke fest Stimpy puts on?

That part ain't negotiable. It's the only rifel you can shoot in this. Stimpy designs the match to test the shooter AND the gun. If you don't have smoke coming off the barrel no way in hell are you going to place. But, you can carry as many mags as you want during the action stage. No limit on shots at a particular target, steel or paper. The clock is still ticking, and is not your friend.

You get bonus points for tacticool gear. Mostly cause we'll snigger at you. Stimpy is one of the hardest to beat and I think he carries his spare mags in a burlap sack tucked into his belt.
"Wardrobe" malfunctions while scurrying about are huge fun for everyone. Moses has one of his on video I believe. Straps flying off, hands flailing like a girl trying to slap down a wind blown skirt. Never lost muzzle control though.

Dunno mang - 6 mags has run short for some competitors some years. Everything else you say is spot on.
Put on all your gear, sprint 100yds while carrying your rifle pointing in a safe direction, and see what's still there. Keep doing that until it's all still there at the end, or you get tired and don't care any more. Bonus points if you stop and dry-fire in between sprints. Then start practicing for the "Target" stage. Or - just show up, stroll across the lawn with your mags in a backpack, and reload when you feel like it. You'll still have fun and meet great people.

Hi-power stage is a side match where the shooter can shoot a Browning hi-power on a pistol stage.
It's great fun, and gives folks something to do while waiting to shoot the action stage.

Well, my boss okayed my vacation time so I will be there. Stimpy, as I posted earlier, I will be getting off work at 8 a.m. Friday morning and will have to take a nap before driving to Dawsonville. So, I will not be able to help out at the range on Friday like I normally do.
Just remember folks, that the Friday night BS and Food Fest will be held at the Ruby Tuesday's just of Ga 400 in Dawsonville. It is close to all of the hotels and just down the road from Stimpy's ranch. Happy hour is between 6 and 7 p.m. and the sit down meal can start as soon as we get a quorum. Just wear something FAL related so you can recognize and be recognized as an attendee. We will NOT be handing out "HI I"m" name tags at the door.

I will be there this year!!
Gosh, it was 2005 since I last attended. I am trying to get some more people to come with me and shoot also. Looking forward to seeing all you guys again. The Other Bruce PS - I thought I would let you guys know I sold my real accurate FAL several years ago and now have only a carbine that has acceptable accuracy for a FAL but not near as good as the other one.

Bruce, you gotta remember, we all know how you shoot, so selling you most accurate FAL isn't saying much.
Stimpy, I will be getting my paperwork and something for the prize table in the mail to you sometime this week. I have a few things that might make me change my schedule and cause me to miss this one. BUT, until they pop up, I will be making plans to be there.
