New From AZ
I figure it would be rude to crash ya'lls party without saying hi, so HI. My name is John, I live in AZ and I just bought my first FAL, although I have been into firearms, hunting, and shooting since I was a kid and even more so after I got out of the Marine Corps(0331). Now I am a FF/Paramedic to fund my gun and motorcycle habits....I really enjoyed this site so far, so, I hope I can contribute something helpful in the future.

I just joined too, but have been lurking for a long while. I'm in Tucson, but I lived in Sierra Vista for about a year and I still go down there for work occasionally (I work for the cable company).
It must be cold down there at this time of year, a colleague sent me a photo of the snow you guys had, looked like it was in Hereford? I don't have my FAL yet, I just committed to picking one up from a member here and I'm excited to be part of the club too

I agree with Wildwilly, if it runs good and shoots good, it's a good FAL. Personally that M249 Type stock would get replaced with an Imbel humpback.......but that's just me, I like traditional looking FALs, I think they got the design right from the get-go, and all the new style additions detract, from it's natural beauty......but then I'm funny that way........but if it works for you, by all means run it with the 249 stock. The important thing is that it's reliable first, accurate second, and a whole lot of fun third. Enjoy, and if you ever come up Buckeye way, drop me a PM, and maybe we can hook up and bust some caps.

Welcome home--
Beware, this will be your ONLY warning-- Touching ,holding, firing, building , or owning a FAL, SLR or LIAI has been found to be addictive. somebody will be along to fill ya in on the side effects-- One Hand clapping

Hello the camp! Bienvenidos, amigo. When you get around to building your own FAL, I have most, if not all, the tools.
I missed the snow on my own roof--watching for icy spots on the sidewalk. I saw several snow-capped roofs on the way to the Hereford PO to mail Blackgun Co's mags. Just send a note via profile email when you get froggy. See ya round the campfire. mm

JohnSkiS- Welcome to the forums. Your next FAL will be a Para, so you might as well start planning for it and get it out of your system.

Thanks for posting that up for me. It's the only picture I have at this time. I'll try to get some action shots or something. Plus I have to figure out how to post pics, the other forum I use I can just copy and paste them from my facebook.

Well we have some unwritten rules around here that usually include: concrete, inserted Mag (which you have), alcohol & tobacco (or toes if you don't smoke), like this.......
