It would have looked really impressive if you produced the FAL from concealment...

Were you shooting steel at 30 yds? I thought I kept hearing a "ting" when you fired.

I hadn't noticed the ting till you mentioned it....no steel shooting, I think it is my brass hitting the curtin racks to my right-front!

Very nice!

Here I is in the shootout for a 300BLK upper for an AR at the last local Tactical Rifle 'Championship'. Did not win that upper.

But did come in 4th overall against 60 shooters or so.

Stimpy, I thought the muzzell blast was going to take off one of the no shoot vision barriers there

They actually had a stage with targets on the ground behind a barricade. The RO told us during the walk through "...if you get your muzzle too close and damage the targets or blow pasters off we will ding you." I told him he might want to let me go last then. It was epic...dust and IPSC targets flying everywhere!

You can see the evil stuff the MD comes up with for these in the vid, there are small 4" sq targets pasted onto no-shoots.

A friend of mine used his FAL for a rifle side match with close, ground level targets. It rained mud

for some time after he cleared that array.

The only complaint I've ever heard is that 7.62 simply destroys targets 5.56 doesn't. Squad loves to see steel dance but grouse when we have to time out to lug a new plate to hang.

Shoot .45acp with it and you're the (he-)man!

Dunno about that. If the steel plates are 500 Brinell, normal 7.62 ball will not hurt them at 80yd while 5.56 will raise welts.

Target stands are another matter since they are not usually as tough.
