.22lr-only/mainly shoot........hmmmmmm

I agree with Rich....the few pills I have in a 'man's caliber' might ought to be reserved for something more....urgent. We're in a sorry state of affairs 2nd-wise and I fear there's some serious momentum against us this time.

I'll bring my .22 conversion for one of the Cz's so I can still gain wisdom from Tat2's seminar....and I'll bring the 513T Matchmaster for some 'distance work' on lollipops/eggs/small steel. And best of all...I won't have to wince with every shot thinking about how many pennies I just sent downrange and how many more it'll take to replace those rounds.

A side benefit would be the easy incorporation of the little ones into the fun so they can actually be a part of it all.

M261 with a few 10rd inserts.

Can't try it out until Friday at the earliest.

Yeah - I was thinking that some of it could be .22 LR. I was also thinking that some part of it should be the real thing. Like I really want someone to beat a certain time on a certain event...

That could be a fun self paced course of fire. Basically go over the rules on Friday or early Saturday and folks could shoot it when they have time over the weekend. It would also be a great "kids" participation match.

Took the boy shooting nutria in Albany today. Cold wind this morning. Even the varments didn't want to go outside.

I wanted to go test a few new builds today myself.

But instead, I had spend 12 hours with my head buried in the 3 inch thick set of blueprints of my next condo project in downtown hipsterville.

I'm happy to have a job, but this stuff gets mind numbing...

And throwing rocks is still reasonable target practice! You ever tried a sling? Ala, David & Goliath fame? I used to be pretty good with one myself back in the day. Croaked a Squirrel & a couple birds.

At the Albany shoot, Snowhawk got me interested in them again. Big fun, and easy to make.

Anyway, I think we should include some arts & crafts projects at the next event also.....
