OK question of general interest.

Pre-ban mags were not marked. Ban mags were marked with the LEO markings. Post ban mags are not marked. How can you tell the differance between post and pre ban AR mags?

The easiest method IMO is by follower color. A quick google search of the follower color should get you to a relative date of manufacture rather quickly. Even more specific in you research it out more in depth.

This question is not for me but rather for the general edification of those wanting preban mags. So let me play devil's advocate a little.

But followers can be changed. So the idea of using the follower as a definate way to tell pre from post bans mags is not necessarly the best way.

Here is another method.

However, I will have to disgree about the LEO markings.
The LEO markings were only used during the ban. There are still plenty of them floating around.

I have never seen these internal markings and I have had a lot of AR mags apart. Not saying they are not there.
