NRA is Shut Down

I haven't called them, but a few weeks ago they called me and got an earful.

Looks like since Friday morning they are AWOl. No updates, no statement
no nothing. They must be huddling.

They also shut down their twiity and facebook accounts.

Spokesman for Gun Owners of America was on a debate on GC today. On liberal news show Democracy Now. He made a lot of good points and came across as a sensible, intelligent person.

They know SILENCE is the best option at the moment - the peeps are PISSED - it will pass. I am NOT a NRA member - they are fuking sellouts but they know when to STFU.

We JUST started burying the first two of the TWENTY, 6-7 year old victims - what could the NRA say at this point - political suicide if they say ANYTHING!!

You can bet when the smoke clears and the hammer drops, the NRA will be saying,"This is the best we could do, you don't need assault rifles anyway". The only saving grace is that even the fuds have an AR they shoot deer with.

NRA has proven to be money grubbing stooges that vanish when times get hard.

Gun control is responsible for this tragedy, The blood of these innocents is on THEIR hands, not ours; it is high time to point this out. Free fire zones have cost us lives, not saved them. Most of the Shooting programs are built around the AR15 and it would
basically end the NRA High Power if any of their nonsense were to get passed. I doubt Boener lets any of their nonsense get anywhere near a
vote in the House. The Senate with it's A rated Democrats is another
story. The NRA certainly will be changing ratings going into 2014.

The NRA played a major role in getting GCA 68 on the books which is what the semi-auto/sporting purposed crap is built off of.

I am an endowment member of the NRA and damn proud of it. If not for the NRA so called assault rifles would have been banned long ago.

There is no supposedly, their publications of that era proudly state they supported GCA 68.

They keep supporting open and active anti-gunners every election cycle so nothing seems to have changed with how they operate.

I basically looked at the radio and or TV and said FUUUUUUUUUUg YOU I WILL NEVER rejoin that group, however I will laugh when they have to backpedal and support a 'sniper rifle ban' which will mean ALL SCOPED HUNTING RIFLES.....

They have done NOTHING to help me with my choice of firearms for my hobby.. of course i live in commie land already and it getting worse.

Whenever the NRA does chime in, they need to bring up the facts which are often forgotten or overlooked when emotions are involved. Like gun ownership is at an all time high, violent crime has been declining and don't forget the government's own (BATFE) report on the 94 AW ban which basically stated it had no effect.

I think that BATFE report is going to be key. Surprised I have yet to hear any mention of it from pro-gun folks in the media.

Part of this is because Rupert Murdoch is anti-gun and has directed Faux News to side with our liberal comrades.

You might want to look at the members of this board before making that statement since they seem to be a good sample of gun owners. No matter how often and in how many ways the NRA screw gun owners(and that is really making a stretch for me to assume they genuinely do care about firearms rights) they keep going back to them like an abused spouse.
