Another Chinese SKS ?
Got an earlier /_\ with 26 inside with 11xxxxxx serial. Indicates it was made in 1967. Serial has the leter "K" stamped after it. Any idea what this means? Also curious about value? The stock is in great condition. Numbers match on everything and factory stamped except an electro penciled # on the gas tube. Bluing is probably at 95% with no rust or pitting. Bore looks exc. Imported by poly usa atl, ga.

Barrel is threaded with the short lug. Trigger is stamped, I think. The housing looks milled. Weird thing is the rear sling mount is on the bottom of the stock and not the side. The stock has matching # too.

Value -- probably anywhere from $240-$350 depending on your location, whether completely matching, and if it has all the peripherals (bayonet, sling, cleaning kit, cleaning rod, etc). Even a serial numbered box might add a few bucks. Of course, this assumes stamped matching serials on receiver, trigger group, bolt, bolt carrier, receiver cover, fixed 10-round magazine, and stock. Also usually will have electropenciled matching serial on gas tube, gas piston, bolt extractor, and underside of rear sight leaf. Value may be slightly temporarily affected by the recent release of early Chinese SKS's by all the major wholesalers -- first time for a Chinese SKS variant to be offered with C&R status. Post up some picts! HR

Here are some pics. It has electro penciled # on the gas tube that does't match. All the factory stamped parts match. It had a short spike bayo. Have a 60's vintage standard length on the way. Everything else is there. Cleaning rod, sling, and cleaning kit in butt stock.
