Immigration needs to be halted altogether,not loosened even further. There is simply not enough infrastructure to support more people,particularly people who don't produce anything,except carbon dioxide,shit,and copies of themselves.

Given the current economic maelstrom, the lack of economic growth, if immigration is not halted, wages will be pushed lower and unemployment will be exceptionally high.

Why reward those who have broken our laws by legalizing their illegetimate status as lawbreakers. We will only reap more contempt for our laws and more illegal immigration. Unlawful Entry will be rewarded in time with Citizenship? Clearly that is not an intelligent policy, only a politically expedient one which only serves to sever at the knee caps Conservative Political strength. Of course some long time republican policies of Inadequate Border Enforcement was very expedient for republican Politicians when their backers they desired cheap labor from Illegal Immigrants too. Could they not forecast their own decline given their short sighted policies?

Now in time of great economic crises they want to open the Immigration Door further? Wages are falling, unemployment in real terms is very high and we are talking about putting out a Welcome Matt an opening the Immigration Door further? Why?

Instead of trying to stop illegal immigration it would be better to remove the reasons they come here.
Make proof of citizenship or legal immigration a criteria for employment and citizenship only for government benefits.

Your thoughts are on the money, however I feel that if that is required with heavy penalties for those who employ illegals, as a consequence the Politicians will open the floodgates of legal immigration, even if it displaces US Citizens from their own job market.

Whether Legal or Illegal Immigration they come here because life is much better by comparison to their own nation of origin. We often hear terms like "Mexihole" or "what ever rock they crawled out from under."

Clearly a surge of potential employees with the economy in poor condition and high unemployment would cause wages to fall significantly. The thought being that Business could make more money with cheap labor.

They've opened the floodgates of illegal immigration.
Not only did they leave the gate open they provided incentives to lure them here.
If they come here legally who are they going to displace?
Also, if they come here legally there are minimum wage laws.

We sure didn't learn much from the sainted Ron Reagan amnesty of the 1980's. I have a feeling it's going to get a lot harder for US citizens to get a passport and get out of this country than it is for aliens to get in.

Obama is running out of cash, even for the Hurricane Sandy victims.........he will likely stab the illegals in the back because the Unions do not want the very very expensive typical wetbacks here....... Since Obama does not need their votes anymore, or the elderly........

Obama will ok work permits and other papers that forever disqualify illegals from getting citizenship.
He will also take care of the HS kids via path to citizenship........ who will get citizenship in order to stay in jail longer for their gang/cartel work here.

Unions run prisons and NEED illegals.

It is an ill wind that blows no good, and the rotten Unions actually may force more immigration controls out of Obama, to stop the flood of workers who pay no taxes and send their earnings home................Obama can take the heat for the changes and let the RINO's and dems off the hook.
