Well,
My Brother in Law is Czech and he just like their arms is unique, and he always has to roll his own. It will be neat to see what future weapons they produce without the inducement of Germans or Russians. The CZ-75 is a great start. Thorack

The VZ24 (RC) was purchased from R-Guns 5 years ago for $200. I put a cheap NC Star 2x7 ($80.) with long eye relief 6"-8" on it and yes the scope holds zero.
For the money invested It is one of the best shooters I own. The Mauser action on this rifle is one of the smoothest I have tried (I own many Mausers) AIM has them now for $290. for the money they are hard to beat. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F3MausVZ24 HDH. Have you fired the 98-29 yet and if so hows the accuracy compared to the VZ-24. I have both plus the CZ-53 which I really like but its the only one of my collection that I have fired I have owned it since about 1992 or 3 cant remember for sure.
Thank you. James

I do shoot all of the Pistols. My next and final CZ rifle will be a VZ52/57, I don't care about the CZ40B or the Skorpian. (nothing wrong with ether just not my cup of Tea) Now that I'm thinking about it I might pick up a Century VZ2008 Folder If I can find one for under $500. HDH. Fantastic collection, Hansel.
.....though I have to say, I sold my CZ75 (which I had since 2000) a few weeks ago, and seeing yours made me wish I hadn't parted with it! |

But, the Iranian 98 is just a work of art. I bought two from Samco in 1999, I think. Wow! Unbelievably fine.

I have always wanted an Iranian 98. An uncle (who lived in Iran in the 60s and 70s) has one, and it is an impressive work of art.
