SBR a pistol?
The topic comes up in another posting and I do not want to hijack that one. However, I do wonder if there is any problem in getting a pistol declared a SBR. There are many semi-auto versions of sub guns that are now sold as pistols, such as the PPS-43, the M-44 and the Suomi M32. In many cases, only the stock being made inoperable or having been shortened keeps the firearm from being a SBR. The question is can a pistol be registered as a SBR?

Yep, you can do that. That's what guys do when they want to put the short barrel and stock on their Uzi.

A pistol to SBR is a very common way to go. I took a Sig 522 pistol, submitted my Form 1, waited a few months, got my stamp and added a butt stock. It makes a very handy .22 rifle. The barrel is 10.5" and I used a Sig folding butt stock so it's easy to store and to move around.
