Chick-Fil-A, BOOMING
Tried to get into my local one for support, IMPOSSIBLE, there's a line of cars trying to get in, deadlocked!!! Seems like a LOT of folks are supporting the business owners right to believe the way he wants to. Which is how it SHOULD be in a free country . I will try to pick up a sandwich around 2, hopefully I will have a better chance.

![]() ![]() ![]() California voted against it twice, but the libs say it is a civil right, and that Jerry Sandusky will be freed, by court action. Obama "blew it." |

Meanwhile, the actual slaughter of homosexuals in Muslim countries brings no City Council Resolutions against Halal restaurants and Rahm Emanuel denies no business permits to them.
Apparently, burying fornicators up to their necks and capping them publicly IS a Chicago Value! People say a holocaust couldn't happen here. Hah. Americans are more malleable than a fresh wad of Play Dough. They'd have ovens up within a month with the right motivation. |

The "Tall Girl"(oldest daughter, stationed at Ft. Hood)sent me a picture of a Houston-area Chick-Fil-A where she and her boyfriend stopped for lunch. It looked like a mostly white, middle-class version of the food riot scene in the beginning of "Blackhawk Down"! The only thing missing were the 'technical' trucks in the drive-thru yelling, "THESE CHICKEN FINGERS ARE THE PROPERTY OF MUHAMMED FARAH AIDID!!!"

Chik-fli-A has a very good fast food product, but the most attractive thing about the place for me is the fact that ALL of the people who work there are clean, neat, polite, alert, interested, efficient, and COMPETENT.
The clientele also is heavily weighted toward normal folks. I go there to get away from people like that bull queer Rahm Emanuel. |

I suspected the announcement was a publicity ploy, carefully tailored.
I have at least 3 in my immediate area and I don't patronize them, because they are too expensive and slow for fast food and not good enough for slow food. But the first time this came out, I said to myself: "Self, they must be working to drive up sales from the Christian right." Like In-and Out Burger - another unabashedly christian store (although they don't close on Sundays like Chick-fil-A, they do print scripture on their paper products), C-f-A has great employees who actually seem happy to work there, but I'm not going for fast food to chat with the help. I want . . . get this . . . fast food. And C-f-A is consistently the slowest fast food in my area.

The one near Chateau Ironhand isn't very fast, so I can see Mark's point. They are tasty but certainly require more of an investment of time and money than most fast-food places. The food quality makes it up for me, though, and it's the favored chicken place for my offspring when we get a taste for fast-food.

It's fast when you're at the window, but the drive-though backs up more than other FF joints.

On Friday, the homos attack.
If you ran one of the 1300 ChickfilA establishments, what would you do about tomorrow's, homosexual screw-in, at your restaurant? I expect outright sodomy and fornication from the scum of the earth. I also figure that they will trash more than one place, besides blockading some establishments. |

I eat there on occasion. They make a really good spicy chicken sandwich. The one near me is pretty quick but today there was a short line in the drive thru and plenty of people inside at the one closest to me. Their sausage and biscuits are the best i've had at a fast food place too. I like that their chicken nuggets are real chunks of chicken not ground up slime.
I will agree that their people see more genuinely happy compared to in and outs forced happiness lol.

The only thing that was scripted was the boilerplate response from the left's incumbents who need to stir the pot to ensure support in November.
Cathy's two interviews were with the Baptist Press and The Ken Coleman show (July 16) Not exactly the type of media you go to when you are intentionally trying to make a splash. The blogosphere reported it. Otherwise, no one cared. Then, on the 19th, very quietly CFA initiated a voluntary safety recall of the Henson toy they were doing a promo for. At this point, one of two things is going on: either Henson called and said they were unhappy with Cathy's interviews and Cathy decided to pull the toys (unlikely, see below) -OR- the toys were actually causing problem and the product pull was unrelated. Regardless, on the 20th the Henson Co. makes a tiny post on Facebook, not a press release, a silly Facebook post, that they are severing ties because Cathy is anti gay. Oh, that is suddenly news to Henson Co.? Cathy has been pumping millions into conservative causes for years but Henson didn't seem to care one bit as long as the relationship was profitable. It is also useful to note that while the Henson deal meant virtually nothing to Chik Fil A, it was huge for the Henson's. After they sold the rights to the Muppets to Disney as well as selling off some of their big characters like Big Bird and Elmo, they haven't had a lot going on. The Henson kids actually bought the company back for a measly 78mil as a tribute to their dad because the Germans they sold it to in the 90's had run it into the ground and the remaining character rights were going to be up for grabs. Disney is no longer interested in them and that is saying something since 78mil doesn't even cover the power bill over the summer at Disney World. The Cathy's have flat out given away more money than that. They can go back to handing out kid's booklets that explain the Constitution and American History, no problem. Want to make your company look stupid? Act like a jilted lover on Facebook and pretend to dump a business partner before they dump you. Pathetic, 7th grade, angry teenager antics. They should have realized the Cathy's were doing them a favor by keeping the recall quiet and let it go. No company press release on their own website? Booooock, boooooooock, booooooock: chickens! After that, it was all incumbent big city liberal politicians (that can't afford air time during a presidential election year) firing out missives and calling press conferences including outright threats (the mayor of San Fran said he "strongly recommends CFA not try to come any closer (than 40 miles) to the city.".......Or what? You'll send a bunch of angry queens will burn it down? How pathetic these guys are. Municipal lefties are some of the weakest people on the planet. The only thing weaker is a pack of rabid media lefties that need a new story. In effect, Henson needed another ad campaign, what ad people call a cross promotional tie-in. Since Cathy was out, they went to liberal incumbent politicians instead..........and it turned out to be a bigger flop than the last Muppets movie before they sold the rights. Cie la vie. Once again, capitalism is it's own self righting ship. Leave it alone and it will fix it's own issues.

A lot folks are all about freedom of choice until your choice differs from theirs.
I went to the CFA near my work on Wednesday at 10:30 which is the time they start serving lunch. I had no knowledge of "appreciation day" stuff but did know that there was some backlash about the CEO's comments. It was very full. I thought to myself that folks were voting with their wallets. By the time I ate and left, the place was packed and cars were wrapped around the drivethrough. I love the food and the location I go to is always spotless and has great service. They are also very quick. No different than a McDonald's or Burger King. The chicken nugget meal I usually get might be $.50 more than a comparable meal at McD but the taste and quality are so much better. I will gladly pay that to eat in a clean place that doesn't have grouchy, ignorant, snot dripping, drooling morons behind the counter. I have always repected the fact that CFA gives up 52 potential business days a year because the the owner's principals. The fact that Cathy didn't bow to political correctness on this issue and stated his beliefs just reinforces that for me. CFA is gonna be getting plenty of business from me. |
