Site Contribution Missing? Read This!

If you made a paypal contribution to the site during the period we were working on upgrades / migrating to new servers, and that contribution disappeared, please do the following and I will manually update you accordingly:

1. Post to this thread. DO NOT pm or email me, etc.

2. Post the following information:

Date Payment was Made
Paypal Transaction ID for your Payment

That's it. Once you post that information I will manually update you.

Thanks for doing that for me the oither day BUT I have another question.

Are we getting our FALoholic numbers back? It was a great way to see who's been here a long time. I am VERY hesitant to deal with new people cuz every time you turn around, you hear how some new person has screwed someone out of money/parts.

If you want to see a members FALaholic #, you can always move your mouse over the users name on the board, and the link will have something like this at the end: u=105

105 is the persons FALaholic number.

You can also look to the right top of their posts and see their join date.

I went into PP to get the information and saw a CANCEL PAYMENT button. So I cancelled the transfer and went to your credit card pay site instead.

Ok ... maybe I'm blind AND stupid ... I've been to the paypal page provided, thru the board, 3 times in the last week ... I don't see a "comment" box or a "message" box to provide my username & number ... ? ... Help please ...

You DO NOT need to know any of that information if you submit a contribution thru the board via the payments page. It knows who you are and will credit you automagically once you make the payment.

This thread is for those who made a contribution after the first attempt at migration when our databases crashed. We lost almost a full day of posts / updates as a result. So IF you contributed, but you're not credited then you need to post here so I can fix it.

You don't have to add a note with your member id or number anymore, it's all handled by the board when you send a payment through the board.

I mailed a check for $25.00 a couple weeks ago along with user name and #. I assume it will take a bit longer to process. I made several attempts to pay with credit card through the board with no luck!

If you could PM me with what kind of issue(s) you had with the credit card option it would be appreciated.

The Authorize.net option also now allows for ECheck payments as well.

fred g: you actually were updated to gold already, the problem was that you were also listed as silver and the system was defaulting to silver vs gold as they were both active. Fixed.

NH Bandit - had you followed instructions and used profile -> subscriptions to send your payment, you would have been updated immediately. I'm sorry my 14 hour work day yesterday interfered with getting you updated.

Jen thanks for the update. I simply went to the "how to contribute" sticky & followed instructions. Don't remember which page I found it on but it simply said to include member name & number when using Paypal. I did that. Maybe having more than one set of instructions that are not the same is confusing to some of us old farts ? Also my sympathies to you for your long work day. I remember those days well when having my own business took over my life. It was a gas station/repair garage that was open from 6AM -10PM 7 days a week and I was there nearly all the time. Some nights I slept there rather than make the hour long drive home. The rewards are well worth it in the end though. Of course I wasn't also trying to run a website at the time. Thanks again & have a good day.

Paypal directly to falfiles@fnfal.com then PM me the transaction ID, amount, and the username of the member. If the username isn't correct (exactly as it is on the board) then they won't get credited properly, so please make sure it's right.

If you used an option other than paypal, then recurring will not work. Sorry, there is no way for me to block the non-paypal options at this time if you choose a recurring option. We don't store any payment information, hence recurring won't work unless paypal is used.

This was supposed to be a recurring payment, on the part of the site, not mine. Guess my money is no good.
