Wooden stocks for an FNC?
This is probably an unusual question, but what would be the chances that where would be someone that could craft some custom wooden stocks for an FNC? I've always been curious as to how the rifle might look clothed in some nice wooden stocks.
As far as I know, the only thing available for the FNC are synthetic stocks and such. Might anyone here know of someone who'd be willing to tackle such a challange? |

I would think that member BlueMonster should be able to if you can send him a stock to copy. There would likely be some $$$ involved though.

Ah of course, I would never expect someone to do this type of work for free. So supplying him with perhaps the original stock sets should be enough?

They are so beautiful just as they are...... I never even held an FN FNC but I plan to some day.

Anyone with a stock duplicating machine should be able to do it. The majority of the FNCs out there are para stocks, the fixed stock version being a bit rare.

You could have the plastic furniture hydrographically painted to look like wood (several varieties from plain walnut to fancy burl)

Paco, Got any leftover FNC handguards? They would look great on one of my FAL carbines (PM me, please). They might look even better on a Daewoo, but I wouldn't want to give the Woo-Boys any ideas.
![]() Back to the OP, I like the idea of hydrographic coating on the plastic furniture. Kind of a high-tech decal that is seeing more use on firearms, ATVs, automotive, etc. Much cheaper than having someone turn custom wood, and reversible (back to black plastic) if you ever get tired of the Woodie look.
