I ended up with a bunch of "specialty" 12 ga rounds when a local gunshop was going out of business. He was having a pretty good sale on his entire inventory and had a bunch of 3 packs of Dragon's Breath, Breacher. Bolo, Mini-Missile, bird bombs, etc. They were marked like $10/ pack. I offered him $100 for everything he had, he accepted. I ended up with over 75 packages of different fun stuff.
The DB rounds were pretty cool. I can't think of many actual uses for them, except maybe to keep somebody's head down. It'd be scary as hell having somebody throw some of these your direction, although the range is relatively limited..... |

DB is $20 for three rounds plus a hazmat shipping fee.
![]() Fun to watch, but I can think of no real use that would push me to spend that much $$ for them. |

I thought the DB was outlawed many years ago because the police SWAT teams were scared to death of those rounds?

They must have improved them a bit. I had bought a package of them when Cobray was marketing them back in the 80s. They were pretty disappointing, along with their Bolo rounds that bounced off of a piece of 1/4" plywood.

I bought a few at a fun show a while back.
When I was looking at them the vendor launched into his pitch about how they were developed to clear Vietcong tunnels and how deadly they are and blah, blah, blah. I told him that was a nice story but it didn't make a whit of difference to me purchasing or not. I just bought 'em to screw with one of my shooting buddies.

If the concept of heading on down to the local Home Depot and transforming $100 worth of random pipe bits into a killing machine doesn’t appeal to you, you’re a frikkin' pansy. Also, you’re probably sane and will live significantly longer than I will. Nonetheless you disgust me, and I take comfort in the knowledge that your obituary will be nowhere near as humorous as mine. The next time I hear "THE RANGE IS NOW HOT", it just wont be the same. Max tried another question. "What sort of people live about here?" "In THAT direction," the Jin said, waving its right paw round, "lives a Han: And in THAT direction," waving the other paw, "lives a Ming Hare. Visit either you like: they're both mad." "But I don't want to go among mad people," Max remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Jin: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Max. "You must be," said the Jin, "or you wouldn't have come here." |
