I got another .22 yesterday, a Marlin Model 56 Levermatic. I wanted one of those since I was a kid. Here's the link.

A grand total of one, a Marlin bolt action tube mag that is scary accurate. I figured I'd be pushing my luck by buying another one.

Just the 2...
A Marlin model 60 I found at a yard sale for $20 5 or 6 years ago and a Mossberg 340KC that I got for free when I helped a friend move. I even got some ammo for free after someone left a full 550rd carton of Federal .22 at the range once.

OK, I just added another one. It's not a .22, but it IS a rimfire. After months of checking GB, I finally found a Remington 591 chambered in 5mm Rimfire Magnum that had a decent starting price and appeared to be in good shape. The stock needs to be refinished, but that's not really a big deal. The blueing is pretty much perfect, all the parts are there, and I got 500 rounds of 5mm RFM ammo from Cheaper Than Dirt. The bore looks great, no pitting, no frost, and no other corrosion. It also came with a vintage Weaver V22-A 3-6X variable scope that I probably won't use, but the scope is in about 99% condition. It has one tiny (about 1/8" long) scratch near the front of the scope tube, but is mint otherwise. Some Weaver collector may be interested in that, but I don't particularly have any use for it.
Once I put a modern scope on it, I'm real anxious to see how well it shoots. The 5mm is supposed to be good out to at least 150 yards, and more like 200 if the wind isn't blowing too hard. So I'll update my list and add this one to it. Anyone else here have a 5mm Rimfire Magnum?

They were all lost in a tragic boating accident.

Winchester Model 72
Where does this bolt action, tube magazine rate among 22 rifles? It shoots shorts, longs and LR's. Received it as a Christmas present from my parents, when I was 13, I'm now 59?

My furniture came that way. The dealer said it was a limited edition. I just liked it because it wasn't black.

never was a big fan of .22 rifles. but recently picked up a 10/22 along with a Troy T-22 Tactical chassis. Should have it all back together after some machining work here shortly.
Im pretty happy that I did pick it up and cant wait to go shooting with it. |

Well, I did it again. About the middle of December, I went by my favorite gun shop to say hello and wish everybody a Merry Christmas, and while I was chatting with the staff, I overheard one of the sales guys telling a customer that a Ruger 10/22 he was looking at was a bicentennial model made in 1976. I figured that the guy was going to buy it, so I didn't pay too much more attention. But he didn't. He put the 10/22 back and looked at another couple of .22's, and didn't buy anything, then walked out of the store.
OK, now I have to go look at it. After checking it over, the gun turned out to be in great shape, NRA Very good to Excellent condition. The stock had a couple of very minor dings, and that was it. No bluing wear, good bore, and even the correct magazine for a 1976 model. Darn. I was hoping the condition wouldn't be quite that good. I hemmed and hawed and debated with myself for a while, and finally decided that the odds on finding another bicentennial model in that good a shape were slim to none, so I finally put a hundred bucks on it to hold it until after Christmas. They did, and I went over and picked it up yesterday and brought it home. That gives me a matched set of Ruger bicentennials, the 10/22 and a Mini-14 180 series. And before long, I should have a .22 conversion kit for my metric FAL. Does that count as a .22 rifle too?

OMG! I'm totally outclassed here.
Wow, it's all I can say. You guys have either been around for a long long time or you have a bad case of "I got to have it-itis".
So, my meager collection is as such! My first weapon, a single shot 22, probably a Western Auto or Sears. My Dad bought it for me when I was 11 years old. It was old even then. Still accurate after all these years. Hair trigger, so be careful. A Ruger 10/22 with laminated Mannlicher stock and a nice 3 X 9 scope. A ruger 10/22. Plain Jane. A Henry Lever action 22. And a beautiful Marlin 25MN in .22 mag. This rifle was in really bad shape when I got it 20 years ago. I refinished the stock, cleaned up the action and trigger and put a high quality scope on it. Now its a tack driver that I just love to look at and beam with pride. As far as pistols go. Just a few. High Standard Double Nine. Nickle finish. Looks cool, but not in great shape. Ruger Single Six, made in the year of my birth, so its old! Like me. That's it. I have a lot of catching up to do. Good luck!

I am not sure how many I have bought since I last posted in this thread, probably 7-8, maybe 10. I bought another H&R Model 12 and scoped it since I have another one with International rear peep and Olympic aperture front sights. I bought several H&R .22s in the “X”65 model number range. I think a couple each Model 265 “Targeteer” & 365 “Reg’lar” and a 565 “Pal”.
Also a couple of the unique H&R auto-ejecting single shots, Models 755 & 760. They made these by leaving out the return spring & magazine on an auto loader. You stick a round in, push the bolt closed, fire, and the bolt slams back open against a rubber bumper ejecting the spent shell and staying open for manual reloading. I have heard stories that they made these in response to some states game regulations that only allowed single shots for certain activities. I think it more likely somebody at the plant just figured it was a cheap way to make single shot guns out of easily made cylindrical components. I just last week won a Marlin 2000 target rifle on GB. I have wanted one for some time ever since seeing a Grand-dad with one at the local Youth Shoots; his granddaughter was shooting it. It has pretty nice sights and an adjustable butt pad stock so I think I will like shooting it and when my daughter gets a little bigger I will have a gun she can step right up to. I hope someday I will stumble across the Biathlon kit to convert it from a single shot to clip fed but I am not holding my breath. I think many of the individual components, mag, mag catch, etc. are the same as other Marlin rifles and therefore still available. I will research it and start to lay them in if true. Yes, I have way too many .22 rifles but with the way things are going single shot .22s may be all I can afford to shoot!

3 .22 rifles, 3 .22 pistols. Don't shoot them much anymore, but great for introducing new shooters and/or inexpensive practice.

A question was implied in the topic. This is the internet. It is entertainment. I would rather browse through threads than flip channels on the boob tube. So, I answered the *question*. Don't like my answer, it don't really matter does it.

Don't know how many, less than 20 I'm sure. Several have been gifts."Hey my (insert relative here) just passed, we found this old .22 in the closet, want it?"
Favorites hands down, are Dad's Mossberg 151M, my Browning T-bolt, and my Buckmark. Larry
