Opinions on fair price....C2 clone kit

Took a C2 clone kit in trade.....Its going to the MP soon. It has some fleas...

The upper receiver in first pic IS NOT INCLUDED IN DEAL. Neither is the plastic stock.

The correct carry handle is also NOT included, because I don't have it.

First, it may be forced match, I don't know. Barrel, lower receiver, and stock match.

Barrel has issues, but worked on a fuctioning receiver. Some putz took a file to it. It also has a piece of metal missing at the extractor cut-out. again, it didn' affect functioning. Internaly the barrel looks great.

It comes with 1 original sight ear ONLY. The 2 currently on the gas block are home re-pro's.

The bolt carrier is obviously metric also.

These first 2 pics show the breech end of the barrel compared to a VG G-1 barrel for comparison.

I can take more specific pics if needed.

The serial number on the lower is not original.. Not sure why someone would bother to stamp a bogus number on an NOS lower.

Other than that it is a complete mismatched collection of parts. The rear sight is worth a bit, top cover is worth something but it is not all that difficult to find. You are missing the carry handle, one of the harder parts to find, many of the small internal parts are British so worthless as far as being a "C2". The wood stock and pistol grip are both Aussie and the plastic stuff looks like US Century stuff. Some L2/C2 Barrels have sold close to $1k lately but they have been NOS without the chunk of metal taken out. The chunk out of the extractor cut is just part of it, someone has also filed down the whole face of the chamber end of the barrel. Best bet is to sell it as an auction. If you want to spend the time you may be able to get more selling everything as individual parts seeing that it is not a C2 or an L2 anyway.

^^^^Probably good advice here.^^^^ Also, it looks like a Brit gas regulator without better pics. Seems there is a "B" on it and I think the Canadians had adjustments to "12", although I think there were "11"'s used as I have seen them on guns. Lastly, I have an Aussie stock that is marked with three numbers (IIRC) just like this stock. A nice group of parts to get someone started in the right direction. I had to dig and scrounge a lot to find my parts years ago.

Looks like the front sight protecting "ears" are home made, but not a bad job.

ETA- I'd send the barrel to a reputable FAL smith & have it tuned up before selling it, or it'll have to go dirt cheap as you'd be gambling.

I mentioned that at the top.
