Unhappy Numrich Parts Lunchbag Letdown

I ordered some Canadian and L1A1 parts. The Cdn C1 rear sight spring is a joke-too wide, too thin, too short and indented in the wrong place. The L1A1 front sling swivel bands accept a screw one side, but not the other. Should'nt these be threaded on one side? Mossberg 810 action screw, too long for front, too short for rear. Received 2, not 3 cocking handle pivot pins in heavily used condition. I will be processing a return.
I could use 4 front sling swivel bands that do not have the, " wings" but a rectangular projection at the top front that limits rotation. I expect I am not likely to get Canadian ones. Are there others that are similar? Thanks for listening. I feel better already.

Isn't that what you just described?

Ernst Armory has the tabbed (Aussie) sling swivels as long as I believe Adam 762 and L/FN.

The ones with wings are generally Brit.

Numrich is always a roll of the dice. I ordered some used Inch pattern mags from them a few years ago & recieved NOS in the wrapper Israeli mags. I called and was told they are all the same... I kept the Izzy mags though & found some inch mags on here. Numrich & Sarco are both on my list of places I would love to be turned loose in for a day and allowed to pick out my own parts. I'm sure they have tons of cool stuff and it's a damn shame they don't always know what they've got.

About par for the course, I have returned parts to Numrich several times and always received good parts the second time around. You need to be very specific as to what was wrong with the first mailing. Not the best way to do business, but they do often have what you need when no one else does. They simply do not pay attention to the catalog orders, only those in writing. All in all a cut above SARCO.

They're definitely hit or miss.

I swear some of their parts pickers search for the worst parts to send me. My all time worst part was a M1 garand lower sling loop that was so badly rusted and pitted that there were no threads left inside. I was shocked that someone didn't lay hands on that and toss it in the garbage. Nope, they sent it to me. I sent it back with a stern note that they were out of their minds shipping that.

On the flip side I ordered a M1 op rod for a HRA build and got a really nice uncut early war SA-6 round side op rod worth 2-3x what I paid.

You never know until you open the box, at least their return policy is ok.

I ordered a barrel from Numrich maybe 6 months ago. They sent me a barrel for the wrong gun, wrong length, and wrong finish. The only thing they got right was the caliber.

Yep,

Unless I see a picture and the item is new I skip Numrich. I ordered some inch locking levers, I ordered 3 knowing I'd have to return some. Returned 2 that looked like they came from the Titanic and the other one was a rare inch beehive locking lever.

The new SIG P229 barrel was as described and $100 cheaper than elsewhere. Definately hit or miss.

Same with me. I ordered the parts and they looked like crap, sent half of them back, asking for some as advertised, and they sent me replacements that looked damn near new. The last time I ordered I talked to a supervisor in sales and told her my experience and she said, "sorry, we can't ask the warehouse to pick good ones, they are all good, if you don't like them, send them back" it was like talking to an FN wall. So I called customer service and she told me she would definately send a message to the warehouse to pick good ones. So it is even hit and miss with the parts picker, and the management....

I know what you mean. I orderd what was supposed to be 5 used East German AK mags. Four turned out to be Hungarian and only one was East German. The price wasn't bad for used mags at the time, but it still irks me since I wanted East German mags.

To give the Devil his due, they have soo many different parts for soo many different weapons, there is no way that they can be an expert on all of them.......
