How much does a comparable VZ58 sell at Gunbroker? That should give you a ballpark idea of its current value. I'd guess it's worth a bit less than $725, since the demand is not strong. (Other people may also think it's not their cup of tea.)

They aren't everyone's cup of tea, but Czechpoint actually had to stop taking orders for a month to catch up on rifle shipments because they were so swamped with orders. Before the shutdown, they were up to 6 weeks behind. I love the rifle, and though it may not be for everyone (what rifle is?), they have a strong following, and getting stronger. Problem is mags seem to be starting to dry up a little, and that may put a kink in new Vz ownership in the future.

They looked nice from a distance, but have no need for them.

I bought a Wasr 10/63 in 2011 for 430 bucks brand new in box. I put a romy wire sidefolder on and it makes a fine vehichle gun on road trips. 600 rounds of wally world tulammo down the tube so far without a hiccup.

I have one I bought in 08 for $375 and it is a nice shooting rifle. I have been thinking about buying another and have seen some lately for less than $500. Yesterday a friend brought me his he just bought and mentioned it shoots high right. I looked at the front sight and it's all the way right as far as it can go. I told him about the canted sights. I guess I just got lucky with mine and I'm scared to chance it again.

Yep!
http://www.novarata.net/Linx310/fsbcantfix.shtml Typical Century Arms - get them built as fast as possible for sale - their FALs, G3s, CETMEs, Golanis, C93s, UC9s, Sterlings, Tantals - always inspect a Century gun before buying. When you buy a Century gun online to save a buck without the personal inspection - your savings should be factored into to possibly shippng it back for repairs. If you don't MAKE Century fix their stuff - then they will continue to do what they do - the Maronda Homes of gun companies.

Century does not build WASRs, they import them. Imported as a single stack version with no US parts. Century opens up the receiver for double stack mags (and they probably do this with an old, dull dremel tool) and add enough 922r parts to be compliant.
Tapco mag -3 FCG - 3 Piston-1 Muzzle device-1 P Gip-1 (sometimes) Tapco collapsible stock -1 Anything else you might not like such as the finish, canted sights/gas blcok, sometimes the fit you can blame on the Romanians. What Century does make are the Polish AKMS, VZ58, "Bulgarian" style AK74 and the Yugo AK47 (i might be forgetting one or two) |

But - - they do lean on Cugir to crank them out as fast as possible. Meanwhile, M&M and the other importers that have sold Romy AK variants over the years have apparently held Cugir to a slightly better build standard than what Cent does. You can see Cent's rush-job demands in the way they have required - and thus allowed - C93 builders to slap those guns together as fast as possible.
