Pre-Ban Mags FOR THE RECORD

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I see it from time to time,,,and I just saw it again: 'no sales to ban states'

Pre-bans mags,,,which means most FAL mags, and a lot of others are friggin' LEGAL in New York State, meaning everything north of Westchester Co., which is almost all of the geography of the 'Empire' state. It's not that complicated.

It's tough enough having to hold the line against albany & the little apple w/ bloominton and half the state legislators' hailing from there, w/o our supposed brothers in arms cutting us off at the knees. I'll stop right there....

that is all

About in the 'middle'.

IIRC,,,Pharsalia is down in Chemung,,,

Ran my dog in the 'game management unit' one time. The woods were lovely, dark and deep,,,but not much moving.

So you were able to escape from ny,,,lucky you,,,I guess CO. is at least a half step up.

Weschester County

So sales to Westchester would be illegal on my part if I shipped FAL Mags to this county?

I singled out Westchester as they are known to be prickish,,,really a suburb of the apple, elitist types for sure. Even so, a county cannot supercede state law. That said, the apple does what it wants. If it should fall into the Atlantic I wouldn't shed a tear.
As a fail safe they can be disassembled and shipped as parts.

If your on ArfCom, post over there in the NY forum. They're quite anal about it over there. They will give you chapter & verse.

I will repeat, pre-bans are legal in NYS.

Don't Forget Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island are also allowed preban mags.

Im in Genesee cty.Batavia.

I think the sellers dont want to play with the NY state bullcrap,,They dont want to have to look at a map and then take a chance that its a 'free' zone so they abandon the state totally..

What I do Is have the seller send them to My Bro.In Alabama-Who then sends them to me!!

As soon as we find jobs in Va we are moving ,,believe me good jobs are scarce,,, But I cat wait to move OUT of ny...Even though western NY is Gods country!!!

I just went through this with a trade. The other party thought he may have to take the mags apart.

Maybe a sticky of some sort could be put up on the marketplace? I'm real new here so I'm not gonna start asking for stuff.

I have heard of a few stories about Gunbroker, one that even involved a pid for auction.

Buyers/Sellers are responsible for knowing alll laws pertaining to their transactions.

The FAL Files does not offer "stickies" to provide or promote legal advice.

Makes good sense to me, and thank you for the response.
