Has anyone unfolded a PPSH 43?

I received my stamp and now its time to make a SBR. Just looking for advice and tips on how to do it the right way! It is not welded.

That would be a bad*ss SBR.

I don't have a link for you but I read somewhere on the internet that the currently imported PPS 43s with the fixed closed overfold stock don't have all the parts needed for the mechanism to work. I'd guess that that the parts could be fabricated by a gunsmith or otherwise obtained but it's not just a matter of removing a pin or cutting open a spot weld.

I do have a parts kit with a functioning stock. I'm just not sure where to start.

Had family things during the shoot. I've been lurking here though!

probably don't want to hear this, but we did one a while back at my shop, the easiest way would be cut it with a vertical band-saw just before the pivot hinge and reweld the new stock section back on, use the new stock as a guide of where to cut the receiver..... use a TIG, grind(sand) flush and then refinish, should be a small job

We have done several at the shop. It's relatively easy. You will need some of the stock pivot parts from the parts kit and the push button spring but that's it. You will also have to enlarge the hole on the top of the receiver for the push button release part.

Give me a call tomorrow and I can walk you through it.
