The Dardick 1500 pistol
Neat video on this oddball magazine-fed revolver.
Also, a thread by the same guy on another forum. Ancient FALFILES thread http://www.falfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9636

I believe this would've been better suited to machinegun usage, as the videographer notes. There are some things that I have no interest in owning and this is one of them, though I would like to shoot one once.

A vendor that sets up at a local show had one on display for a couple years. I looked for it this year but did not see it in his set-up.
I didn't ask about it as he was pretty busy.. The "trounds" he had for it were pretty cool too. |

Hmmmmmm...
The "Wankel" motor of revolver-hood!!?!?! Seen the rounds; but never the pistol. Interesting concept; but too soon to production, IMHO Perhaps modern materials and a wee bit more development would beneficial? Mebbe a 4 chamber cylinder; feeding from the bottom, would get rid of the bulge. The newer plastics..Delrin derivatives prolly, would make the "adapters"/carts more functional?

Not "rounds", trounds. This and the gyrojet were interesting design concepts that were possibly their time, not very practical but cool.

next thing you'll be talking about caseless ammo...

The next time I hear "THE RANGE IS NOW HOT", it just wont be the same. Max tried another question. "What sort of people live about here?" "In THAT direction," the Jin said, waving its right paw round, "lives a Han: And in THAT direction," waving the other paw, "lives a Ming Hare. Visit either you like: they're both mad." "But I don't want to go among mad people," Max remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Jin: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" said Max. "You must be," said the Jin, "or you wouldn't have come here." |
