Steyr mod L 22-250

Hi, don't know if this is the correct forum. Any idea where I can find some production date info based upon serial number of this rifle ? Googled and can't find anything. Friend of mine has it up for 900 with quick disconnect base and older US made Redfield 12x scope on it. Looks 99% and shot very little. I need a liitle more info before buying. I assume it will shoot just fine.

edit; it reads Styer,Daimler, puch mod L on the left side and made in Austria on the right the bolt handel has two numbers under neath one matches the last two digits of the serial number and the other reads 89 so I think that might be the production date since it has a plastic magazine (kinda cheap)
