Python year of manufacture

Just picked up an excellent condition Colt Python, blued with the black sights, no inserts. Serial #K682xx. Anyone have an idea when this might have been made? It's been shot...but it sure is nice. The blueing is probably 99%, with just the slightest hint of wear at the muzzle.

I still have some of my old duty gear, and I'd like to find a used duty holster for it, my kid might like it someday.

Well it was made after 1978. Call Colt, they should be able to tell you.
