Went with Tapco intead of I.O.
After reading all the negative stuff about Inter Ordnance I canceled the order and ordered an Imbel kit from Tapco. Got the hand picked option. I figured for the money it might be a better deal anyway because I'll more than likely need the rifle refinished. So why spend 250.00 on a kit when for 120.00 from Tapco and have a decent kit and better customer service.
So are the Imbel kits from Tapco pretty good? Anyone else built a Imbel from Tapco's kits? For all the good things said here about them I figured they were alot better than I.O. in NC. Thanks, Andy

I bought 3 of the Imbel kits from TAPCO. 2 non hand picked at the 89.99 each price and one of the handpicked. All were well worth the money and the handpick was exceptionally nice for what it cost.
You did the right thing. Many of those G1 kits have problems with the gas block. They've been used hard for a long time. The Imbels are generally in much better condition, overall.

Yes. I've heard the Imbel kits are in better shape than the G1. I'm glad I went with Tapco. Maybe the rifle will be much nicer when it's all done. I'm glad to see that the kits are rather nice for the price. Heck for 99.00 you can't beat that.
Thanks again for the help guys. Andy

Hey Andy, I think you "done good" with a Tapco Imbel kit. And once you get your pile 'o parts, look up the Georgia FAL'ers.....a great bunch of guys that'll help you with your assembly.
As I said in your other post.....drop me an e-mail at SrBenelli@aol.com , us "Olds fans" need to stick together (far too many Ford & Chebby people here ).
