Just sent out PW for C&R FFL!

Can't wait to get the license! Lets see-
First- a .308 chambered Izzy mauser.
Second- a Mosin M-91.
Third- A Yugo M-48 or BRNO V-24
Fourth- A Turk 98
Fifth- An FN-49
Sixth- Who knows, any suggestions?

My Wife is just frazzled about this. Bless her little heart. She can't believe that I can actually get a rifle for $39.95! She doesn't know whether to be happy that it will cost less to keep me in new toys. Or to be pissed that I will be in the shop cleaning and fixing and working on them.
She says I am "playing" with them. I say that we do not get older- Our toys just get more expensive (unless you got a CCRFFL) and more dangerous!

Congrats on getting that C&R on it's way.
It's just too much fun when you can buy these things for little to nothing. It's also fun to go pawn-shoppin' and find a gem or two that the shop owner has way under priced becuase he doesn't know what he has.

My wife also calls it "playing with guns" when I'm in the shop working on them.

Once you get the C & R back, make copies & send to every dealer you can think of. Just have fun.It opens the door for all kinds of possibilties.

Dean is right.
Remember one thing though.
NEVER sign the original you receive. Make the copies and sign them as you send them out. Put the original in the safe after making tons of copies.

I told my wife that I can't do anything about growing older, but I refuse to grow up!

I am thinking about a C&R but I don't like the idea that you have to notify the local police (I have nothing to hide)If I want to collect guns then that is none of their business. And you have to deal with the ATF. Again, I have nothing to hide. I don't like the idea of the ATF coming to my house to inspect my collection.

With A C&R the ATF doesn't have to come to
your house. You can go see them instead. It
is stated in the paperwork. If they every
request to see your collection make the call.
set up an appointment and take it to them.

I think the local police could care less. It is just a courtesy from one LEO to another. Just don't cause a red flag on your C&R by large volume buying, Like a dealer for profit. In a way it would help explain your large collection You see I am licensed by the feds to do this,to own this,to collect this, it is my duty to do this. That is what I tell my wife.

Whats the reason for not signing the original?

Thanx for all the input guys. It is greatly appreciated!

I suppose the reason for not signing the orginal if due to the fact that all of the copies have to be signed. If you sign the orginal then you still have to counter sign the copy. When I had a FFL, I made the mistake of signing the orginal. Other dealers and distributors will not accept a copy that has a Xerox signature.

Once you get your license, prepare to be broke! There are just too many cool toys out there that you must have right now. Cannot wait, it's the deal of a lifetime, honest honey.
I am wanting to build another FAL, but every time I get close to having enough for a kit, up pops another deal on some old battle rifle, so it's back to square one.

I guess I shouldn't even bring up the really cool toys you can get with a C&R. Like full-autos. Hehe.
