WTK value DAG battle pack 59 dated

What is the current value of this ammo? Pretty neat looking battle pack in cardboard box with fabric strap on the top. Dated 1959. Found this stuff at local pawn shop. Hope I didn't pay too much, but don't find this stuff in my neck of the woods.

The value would be the same as current selling surplus 7.62. I bought a couple of cases of 59 men in the early 80's and still have 560 rds put away. It was the most accurate rd. I have yet fired in my 50.00. Saving the rest for a rainy day.

Well,

If you can check the ammo corrosion. If not corroded I've seen it for sale at up 90 cents a round. Not that its selling that quickly.

No plans on selling it. Just currious if I got it for a decent price. Didn't want to pass on it for fear of it being sold before I could do some research on it.

Blackgun, you answered your question when you made the purchase. Value is determined by what the consumer is willing to spend. You only pay too much for an item only if the next buyer standing behind you pays less then you did. Like I mentioned earlier, my '59 men is the most accurate 7.62 surplus I have ever purchased. The boxes show age but none of the rds have any corrosion or discoloration.

Is it corrosive? I'm saving this stuff till I have nothing else to shoot. Hate to open up the original battle pack and have lot of cheaper surplus at my disposal right now. So far, I've been using my sportsman's guide port with mild corrosion on the cases. No problems so far.
