Anyone own the new FNS9 yet?
The new striker fired FN pistol looks to me as if it has the most potential of all for being a Glock killer. Smith & Wesson dropped the ball after having tons of momentum with some changes in production to save money that has cost a lot of its newer 9mm guns to have accuracy issues, not to mention some of the QC issues. I don't like DA/SA guns, so that rules out HK for me even though I know their pistols are awesome. Sig has had horrible QC recently too.
That is why for those who like a Glock, but maybe are looking for an alternative with an external safety, the FNS9 looks interesting, especially for a CCW piece. I like that it has a 4 inch barrel, but the grip is a little longer than the Glock 19 for those of us with big hands. The texture appears to be not quite as rough as the RTF2 glocks, but rougher than the typical gen 3 glocks that are too slick in my hands. 17 round mags are a plus, too. I also have read that the trigger is supposed to be the best striker fired trigger around, though I have also read a few people disagreeing. Anyone own one yet?

I haven't tried it, but have a very high level of confidence in my Springfield XDs and XDM. I've got Glocks, S&W M&P 9c, two XDs, and an XDM. All are reliable and accurate, but I always go back to the XDs.
Sorry, I know that wasn't exactly your question. ![]() Just my two cents on the general topic of striker fired stuff.
