Both of them make an already heavy rifle even worse, at least as far as a full length gas system goes. If your talking about railz on a short gas gun, thats a worthwhile venture. Now depending on what your really going after here, attaching a few pieces of picatinny rail to standard plastic of fiberglass handgards is a workable option for mounting all the Ninga/Operator crap you`ll ever need.

All others are quite heavy. I know the UTG works but not super high quality / sharp edges as most.(rough on hands)
The VLTOR CSAV is pricey but very light and easier on hands by far. Personally I would wait and save for the good stuff. There is a huge difference in comfort, weight, and quality. Have them both. |

Although I'm not a Quad rail junkie and don't think they "fit" the FAL I must add another vote for the VLTOR product. Yea they are expensive but very light (by comparison) and extremely well made..
That being said even though I'm not a Quad rail person I actually did give serious consideration to this quad for one of my FAL's thinking I might like ONE rifle with a diff much more modern appearance.. http://www.vltorstore.com/products/C...andguards.html

VLTOR
I looked at the vltor and was interested in buying one.
Then looked at the price. At that time DSA had uppers on sale. Added in a little more cash and got another upper and started building another kit. And so it goes.

Yes, they all work but are heavy and have rough edges.

Mine has the Aim Sports rail, not rough at all with the rubber inserts.

I have the tufforce on mine cuz it was super cheap it is a bit heavier than stock but I had a magpul afg and their xtm rail panels I wanted to try on it, that solves the edges problem but I had to lightly sand the edges of the side rails down a bit to be the panels to lock on because of how tight they have to be to snap, but overall I do like it
