Help me find the right ones

British barrel and uppers. I have been unable to locate the spring that goes behind the gas regulator. I obviously purchased an incorrect barrel band for my British front sling swivel. Thanking you in advance for any help and hints.

Well, the C shaped round steel retainer or spring is what is needed for the gas regulator to stay in place. Also, the sling swivel you have (sling loop) is for the rear on a plastic (Maranyl) buttstock. The sling swivel loop (barrel band) that you have is the front for the Canadian or Ausie type. The British version will have small "wings" on it. Place a WTB ad in the Market Place section.

The early Brits would also have the wingless barrel band too, would they not? I seem to recall seeing the winged barrel band and the old wood style handguards do not play well together.

Gunplumber has all the stuff you need. Your swivel doesn't look right for a Brit.

I have a British front sling swivel assembly and the gas regulator retainer spring.

E-mail sent.

Thanks, guys. Great info. The sling band shown in my post turned out to be for a British butt stock. No wonder I could not find something to fit my barrel band. And yes, it is British and broad arrow marked. Something for my future parts for sale post. LOL
