Smile 6.5 AR, finally!

Some of you guys know I like guns and cool guns so here is my latest.

It's a 6.5 Grendel SAOD 20" upper built on my older DPMS lower receiver. I've added my KAC 600 rear back up iron sight and a Midwest Industries front folding sight for iron sight competitions I go to. The EOTech 512 optic is for yotes and deer out to 100 yards or so, so this will be a do anything type of rifle. The buttstock is an Ace Socom M4, the sling is Israeli and the magazine is from C Products. I wish I had it this past Saturday for the steel plate match I participated in near Charlotte. It's partially why I built this one up.

Got it today and have it ready to go.

Here are some pics.

Very nice Bill!

I know you were anxiously waiting for it. I've never tried out that caliber but from what you were saying about it Saturday it should should be great for what you have planned for it.

About That Grendel

Hello,

Can you post what the rifle weighs just as you have it configured, please?

Thanks.

Will do but I'm guessing 9-10 lbs as shown. My son reported it "accurate as heck" today from the range.

Thanks for posting pics. I'm eager to see another shooter who likes the Grendel.

A few questions, if you don't mind. What's the barrel profile? How much does the EOTech weigh, and what rounds did you use for the targets you showed, and at what range?

Barrel is .750 straight, ammo was Wolf Gold soft point (left) and MPT (right) from a bench @ 100 yards.
Not sure what the EOTech weighs.
