where to find a bareel for polish tantal?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me. I purchased a polish tantal off of someone who said it key-holed bad. I need to get another barrel in the right size for it. does anyone know of a place to either get an original polish tantal barrel or a us made one for it?

I'll bet you'll have a hard time with that. Obviously someone is making them so if you know the right people you could get one but I looked pretty hard last year and didn't find one. you can get ak74 barrels but they don't have the hand guard lockup for the wz-88. Mine was flaking chrome around the crown so I counter bored it and reduced my avg. groups from 8" to 5".

have you tried www.apexgunparts.com if it does not show up on there website then call or emaill them. sometimes they have stuff stashed and not listed. hope this helps.

have you fired it,seen the keyholes yourself?.You may find a polish 5.45 barrel out there,just need to put an APB out for one.you can or might want to look into the bulgarian barrel also.the front will be different,IE you won't be able to use the tantal muzzle brake.nothing wrong with the bulgy barrel or brake at all.you'd just have something different.you do have a few options.I'd run some rounds through it to see what it does then go from there..

Before you go and spend your money... If it is a Century gun with the wrong bore size, call them. My friend picked up one of those guns off a guy at work and after finding that it keyholed called them and they replaced the barrel.
