Thumbs down Here is a little POS 'patriot act' item-the 'sneek and peek'

Hey I was listening to the events of that Afghan guy they got for the terrorist bomb making crap and plans and i heard this interesting little violation of our right the feds can do WITHOUT a search warrant!!

In a little clause in the UN-'PATRIOT ACT' list of garbage they can pull on us is something they call a 'sneak and peek'
This insidious little clause allows the feds and/or possibly the local cops to BREAK INTO your car(and even home), take fingerprints, copy computer hard drives, search your stuff and then put it back as originally found and do this WITHOUT OBTAINING ANY KIND OF WARRANT!!!??! WTF!! THEN they come at you with a warrant for crap and say 'oh look what we found!!

Now i know some will say 'well they were going after a terrorist subject'..I have news for you..all of us are considered 'rightwing extremists'-'domestic terrorists'-or even 'enemy combatants' according to the DHS report which i am sure we have all heard about. ..

So much for our rights against 'illegal search and seizure', 'Due Process', 'Self incrimination', etc.....

Well if you guys are like me and have all sorts of crap, especially firearm related or chemical, military, aircraft, etc, you better have your PC,notebook and HD password protected ....I mean crap I have articles on building cannons, german WW2 Nuke programs,MG rebuilding to SA,planetary alignments,etc......could see what kind of story they would spin...and if wondering why I have this stuff...it's my hobby and interest along with archeology,astronomy,cars,etc...

What a bunch of crap and this just reinforces the fact that they are all incompetent up in DC and I would wager that IF 10% of those asses READ the Bills and stuff they vote on it is a miracle!

In Milwaukee they're kicking in doors (literally) using "No Knock Warrants".
The reasoning is that if they knock it may jeopardize the safety of the officers.
I guess their perceived safety trumps our rights.
Being that it's the North side of Milwaukee I have little sympathy but if they can do it there.......

As long as they use the words "terrorist" or "safety", the people fall over themselves giving up their freedom.

Everyone should have an alarm and a discrete surveillance system.

Old news.

The level of idiocy of Bush supporters is rivaled only by the level of idiocy shown by Obama supporters. They are both fags and admitted drug users. Not the kind of people that should be running a country.

All I'm left wondering is who the first president will be to come out of the closet. I was thinking Charlie Crist, but he got married recently to cover his tracks.

All you need is a couple of burly dogs and the fed will shit his drawers before they try and sneak in.

they would probably shoot the dogs ans spin it as they were serving a warrant and 'felt threatened' so shot them....or if bitten you get arrested for whatever fuggin bs they dream up......

I agree that we all need a discrete security system to catch who ever tries getting in our stuff.....i always liked the idea of gassing with cn/cs after the home or car relocks itself trapping the shiits inside or somehow marking with perm ink and photographing them- of course mustard gas would be more effective but......and I would love to be there when the call for help is made and listen to the explanation while I declare a citizens arrest since they are ILLEGALLY invading my place and stealing stuff

Incompetent? I would say that things are going exactly as planned...at least by someone. The more I read about congress, the more the word "pawns" comes to mind.

Manedwolf and molotov: might be "old news" to you, but not to me. Perhaps I should apologize for not keeping up to date like you guys.

John, with all due respect, if you respond like that you are going to die. More than likely it will happen before you are able to fire a shot, unless you are shooting from behind a locked door.

One thing that I have learned over the years, is that action beats reaction almost every time. It's not much different than disarm techniques. If you can actually touch the gun(action), you can usually take it away before the gunman can shoot you(reaction).

Just a note for those of you that take exception to the word "usually". If someone is pointing a gun at me, I consider myself already dead. With that in mind, I will try a disarm rather than counting on any compassion that the bad guy might have.

Regards,

Don

Funny you should mention. After having a new '63 Impala SS w/ 425 HP 409 and a '66 425HP 427 Corvette stolen from in front of my house, I came up with an idea like that. I planned to have solenoids connecting the door handles and window cranks that would disconnect them if a special switch wasn't set upon starting the vehicle. It would also have been connected to a tear gas cannister that would flood the interior, making it a living hell for a thief trapped inside the vehicle.

When I learned that doing so would get me several years in Joliet State Prison, I dropped that idea. I always thought it would be a good way to stop car thieves though. A few incidents like that would surely make them think twice about stealing cars. But, I guess we can't inconvenience or hurt thieves though.
Too bad.
