FAL pic threads?

Any threads where people show off their favorite FALs?

In my AK forums people show off their plum, Russian red, etc AK's. perusing those threads convinced me I needed atleast 1 under, 1 side folder, 1 russian red on birch and one blond with worn metal parts.

I'm wondering if there are any pic threads around where people either post the most beautiful FN FAL they know of or show off what they have in their closet.

Thanks,

Dude there's a special images part of the forum down at the bottom of the main page. Make sure you have it set up to show the pics from the last 100 days though....there's hoto's galore!

More a side comment, but seems the FN forum is becoming the geeneral dumping ground of everything... while yes, it says it is all FN, used to be gunsmithing and do it yourself was FAL realted, photos of FALs went in the photo forum, and gear-logo Imbels were $199.

I can't wati until my kid is old enough for me to say "boy, back in the day, Imbel's were only $199..."

Of course I could say that now, but the effect is lost on a 2 year old.

I have to agree with most of what you say, except that Mr. Saive will be lower on the list of hero seniority than some former Marines and other Americans. But he has a place.

A subject of much discussion here in the past. I might point out that in Europe (and so of course Belgium, where the FAL comes from) we call it the FAL, as in the word FAL.

Each to his own I would say.

I try to tell people that all the time. Seems it makes no difference what the people that built and professionally used the thing call it.

Yes Andy, but as it says in the Book, is it a self loading rifle or perhaps a self reloading rifle?

What you call it

Lets see, 92 countries adopted the FN-Fal in the metric version and 5 or 6 adopted the SLR, Majority rules, IT'S A FAL. US Yanks through out the Queensberrie rules at the Boston Tea party.
