It is scheduled to be a 25 meter only event, but there is a chance that we can realize a longer range by the time of the event. Camping available: Yes, on site. Potable water available. No electricity or other hook ups. No showers. $10 fee Hotels: TBA Directions: Directions to the Pathfinders Campus: From interstate 81 take I26 toward Kingsport. Exit on Hwy 93/Wilcox Dr. and go south on 93 into Sullivan Gardens. Directly across from the Horse Creek Village you will see our sign, turn left follow signs. Puryear is approximately 10 miles north of Paris Tennessee, and 12 miles South of Murray, Ky. Directions from Puryear are; take HY 140 west for approximately 3.5 miles. State Laws to be aware of: (Disclaimer: we attempt to tell you the most important ones, mag size etc. but you are required to check for yourself) TN requires that long guns be unloaded and separate from any ammunition in a vehicle Range Rules: Standard Misc: Lunch will be provided for a reasonable fee Contact information: Dond email: dsduncan@newwavecomm.net Registeration Link: April 18-19: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/203415421 May 30-31: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/203419433 June 27-28: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/203420436 July 25-26: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/203422442 September 5-6-7: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/203423445 Fred: If the name of this club sounds friendly, it's because it is. One of the rare fine examples of a gun club doing what every gun club is supposed to be doing, and should be doing: promoting marksmanship, and thereby strengthening the tradition, and the 2A. Last year they "went the extra mile" with food on site, an air-conditioned club house, and as fine a shooting facility as you could want. With current plans to expand to a six-hundred yard range, there will definitely be a long-range component at this Appleseed. (Currently, out to 200; soon, out to 400/500) so bring the big stuff as well as the .22 for as fine an Appleseed as you are likely to find, at a friendly location in the south. Home of "dirtbag", an RWVA instructor who will surprise you with how easy he can pack your brain with marksmanship knowledge in spaces you didn't know were even empty! (Note: Only his close friends call him that - but you'll be a close friend the first time you meet him! ) « Last Edit: October 26, 2008, 09:08:18 PM by RifleWoman » |
