.223 NM loads?

Looking for a good proven .223 service rifle load for a 1-8 twist. 68-69 grains. H335 preffered as it is what I have..

Check Sierra site. The powders of choice for most HP shooters seem to be Varget, RL15, and H4895.

H335 works good for 55g FMJ blastin ammo.

For match loads, I didn't have much luck with H335. The best accuracy load was at 21 grains.

It was really slow (~2400fps), and not good for anything past 200yrds. High Std Deviations as well.

Loaded with Sierra and Hornady 69g and 75g HPBT in LC cases and a CCI mil primer.

By contrast, I now just use 24.5g H4895 and have great results.

You need a slower powder than H335.

Varget or RL15 rules, 25 grains of either (near max load) with Rem 7.5 primer, LC case and 68 or 69 grain bullet seated to 2.255 oal. Don't use the CCI #41 military primer with this load, it is too hot! And don't use Winchester primers either, it WILL slam fire with an AR15.

I ended up with 25.3 of Varget, rem cases, cci std primers 2.250 OAL. I get 2950 fps, and about .5 moa out of it.

Any good 52 grain loads? H322 or Varget or H4895? those are the powders I have, and I hate ball powders.
