What holsters are you folks using for your Glock 30's? I wanted to get a Blackhawk SERPA but from what I can tell there is nothing available, unless I want to cut down a holster made for the 21.
Thanks. Brian |

I recently got a G36 and had the same question. I went out and purchased a nice leather holster like I do with most of my other guns. Then some folks on this site recommended I get a Fobus holster. For about 20.00 I thought why not. So I went and ordered a Fobus paddle holster. I must say when it came and I opened the box. My first thought was "what a piece of plastic junk", But I went and tried it on. I found it fits very nice and holds the gun tight to my hip. It's very comfortable and I was able to cover the gun with a short shirt. Since I got it I have used nothing but that for the G36. I am in the process of getting Fobus holsters for several other pistols I have. I don't know how long they will last but I can buy three or four for the price of one leather holster. Plus I like the way they fit me.
They ain't good looking and you won't get that feeling you get from good leather. But I have found I like them and they sure are cheap enough. Edited to add: I also got the double mag pouch and it works every bit as well as the holster. It holds the mag's very tight to my hip. Also I was a bit worried that the paddle would not stay put when drawing the gun. I found that was not a problem. That paddle locks on good and tight. You will never pull the holster off trying to draw the gun. It's very solid with no movement at all! Skeeter!

I have used the Fobus on my g30 and I also have a Galco IWB, it is a summer carry I think. Works nice. Not too much printing if I use the short magazine. The ten rounders make me look like I have an alien poking out my side.

Thanks for the ideas.
I finally decided to go for the Fobus product, the GL4. We will see how it does in few days. Also bought a double-mag pouch to balance things out! Thanks again. Brian |

I used a Blade Tech for the few times I carried the M30. It's a nice holster, holds tight to the body and kept the gun secure. Some people don't like the straight up draw of the Blade Tech, but, I found it very natural.
I sold the gun a couple years ago but still have the holster if anyone's interested.

UPS delivered the holster and mag pouch this morning. If anyone is interested to see how they ride here are 3 links to some pics of them. Sorry about the poor pic quality.

Edit: BTW, it's a pretty darn comfortable holster to wear too. I've even ordered one for my Springfield Micro Compact .45. Pav Last edited by pavil58ff; April 09, 2008 at 18:01. |

Has anyone actually cut down a SERPA for a 21 and used it for a 30?

I have a fobus holster for my G21. I saw a youtube video were "they" rip the holster right off the paddle. I don't think someone is going to do it to me but it makes you think.

I also have one made by Jim Burke which fits great but it's a very difficult holster to put the gun back in. I really like SERPAs for open carry and I'd heard you can cut one down to fit a 30 but I've never met anyone that has. I haven't even talked to anyone who knows anyone that has. I'd sure like to know if it's possible before getting one and butchering it.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Sidearmor yet??? I've tried several different holsters and Sidearmor is by far the best. I use the IWB belt loop model for my G30 and love it -
