I wonder how much muzzle blast it produces?

I think it's kinda cool. Might not be the most attractive firearm, but I've seen (and own!) much worse. Got to give the creators kudos for ingenuity. I say +1.

Looks as practical as a Gyrojet and as attractive as a Dardick Tround weapon. The 'gun that never was' to the 'gun that never should have been'. Like making a 'silk purse out of a sow's ear' as my dad used to say.

I suspect what he means is that every gun he has in stock is listed, ergo, if it sells over the counter its "no longer for sale" cuz its already sold.

On the pic issue, I imagine he ordered in a bunch of say G-17's took pics of ONE to use as a representative pic of a G-17 and uses the same pic instead of taking pics of every G-17 he has in stock................saves time and frankly as long as its new does it really matter if the gun in the pic is the ACTUAL gun thats being offered??

I kind of like it, its different........................but really, if its registered as an SBR, why not put a buttstock on the thing???

Adding a buttstock would, in my opinion, make it more user freindly.

I would think it would considered a pistol in the form its in now. As far as the sellers disclaimers about the product and picture, yeah, I understand prior sales or stock photos, but he sure has a strange way of putting things.

As far as the abomination he is selling.....well, someone had WAY too much time on thier hands!!

From what I can recall, a pistol can be made only from a virgin receiver. A rifle cannot be made into a pistol, unless you pay the SBR tax, and omit the buttstock.

Yep, that's it.

The BATFE is religious about the "Once a whatever, always a whatever." Which means that once you become a BATFE agent you are always a douchebag.

I'd pay the $200 transfer tax for it, and that's about it.

If I had to pay the $200 for a Form 1, I would go ahead and put a buttstock on it. Course since it doesn't look to have any sights, I guess it wouldn't matter much.

The seller states that it is a registered SBR - no question there.

I'm not sure why he bothered to register it that way - seems to make more sense to put sights and a buttstock on it if it's registered as a SBR.

Otherwise he could have - for the same $200 tax and different paperwork - changed it's registration from a rifle to a pistol. That way when he wanted to sell it he wouldn't have had to make the seller pay the additional $200 and jump through the NFA hurdles.
