Any Central Ohio FAL 'smiths?

I picked up an FAL off GB that was misrepresented & needs some work. Barrel clock position is way off, and I suspect a headspace issue...bottoms of cases expand on firing & extractor can't yank them out. Any help?

Look up Adam762 here on the board. He is in Zanesville.

If you need a northern guy--- www.defensivecreations.com His name is Dave Laubert and he is in Alliance.

or

Glen Riddle his user ID here is '187'. Glen is in Youngstown area.

All good guys I have worked with in the past.

I'm a little south right on the Ohio River. I'd be happy to help you out.

I didn't know Adam762 was in Zanesville! That's less than an hour away!

I appreciate it! I am hoping someone a little closer will be available, I'm clear over by Dayton & Springfield area. If not, then a road trip it will be. Any of you OGCA members? If so I could meet at a show.

Well, to his credit the guy called and says he wants me to send it to DSA & he's paying everything....rare guy who'll step up on auctions these days. But I would still like to know of somebody closer to home just because of all this hoopla over the selector switch marks and the BATFE. Even Jeff at DSA says to keep your lower, they don't even want to know......sounds like another thread I've been reading on here....hhmmmm

Yeah, Mason, we're up here. Have a 400M range about ten minutes away, too.

C'mon up anytime.

Thanks for the mention, Rick.

I'm not an OGCA member, but my father is and I attend all of the shows regularly. They are never too big on FALs and related parts, but I've picked up mags, a lower receiver, etc. If he can make it, I'm meeting up with Ricketts at the March show. You're welcome to join us, meet my father and younger brother, we'll eat at Max and Erma's. Adam, it'd be sweet if I could meet you.

My favorite guy up there is the machinist dude. I talked with him for a good half an hour. He was a machinist for like 50 years and is now retired, selling all of his stuff. I would offer to buy all three tables of his stuff if the funds would allow.

I'd love to have all those mics, calipers, surface guages, feelers, check blocks, lathe dogs, vises, indicators, mill bits, lathe bits, chucks, etc. One day...

I would love to meet like minded people at that show, you're right about some of the stares of horror when you walk in with a black rifle or an underfolder sometimes! You all want to set up a time and place to meet at the show? I can go either day.
