What FAL bayonet did I buy? X8? Argy?
Got this off of E-bay for $25. Fair condition - it will need some restoration. It is clearly for a plain muzzle FAL with the Bayonet lug, such As Canadian EX1, early Israeli, British X8, or perhaps an early Argy. Except for the Argy, which I do not have, all the other bayonets of this type that I have possess wood handles. These are plastic/composite material and the bayonet and scabbard were both painted black like Brit stuff. The serial number marking looks like early FN font.

It could of been sold to Argentina, Kuwait, Peru, Indonesia, Republic of South Africa etc. Unfortunately unless it's got some counties unique marking it's a bit hard to pin point 'who' it was sold to.
I have a Plastic Grip version of the TYPE A bayonet but I know mine is ex RSA as it has 'SAP' (South African Police) stamped on it. Any tiny inspectors markings on it?

I just went over the bayonet with a lighted 10x magnifier - no marks of any kind.
