7.92X33 vs. 7.62.39

I am somewhat familar with the 7.62.39 performance. How does it compare with the German 7.92 kurtz?

German round sends a 125 gr out at 2100 fps
per Handloaders Manual of Cartridge Conversions by John J. Donnelly.

Somebody once posted a pic of a box of 7.92 Kurz ammo that the Army EOD people found in Iraq. And somebody else posed a pic of an African tribesman carrying an MP-44, the assault rifle for this round. Neat.
