Thanks

Though the ideas of a golf bag or guitar case are rather amsuing, I am not sure how well it will work as a range back or how much some of our local troopers would enjoy fidning it that way. Since Virinia only allows you to conceal a handgun (this means no knives... yeesh) they might consider that attemoting to conceal a longarm, whereas a range bag is pretty obvious but not as intimidating. That WRB link is a good one to have, I was looking at some of those same bags for about $30 more 2 weeks ago. Thanks.

TStafford:
When it comes to concealing my handgun I use a shoulder holser and just remove gun and lock and glove box if for some reason I have to take it off. The car alarm will go off if they bust a window and shutdown all elctronic systems including the seondary lock I installed in the glovebox (on powerloss, deadbolts drop). Power can only be restored by using the correct key code after you have found the hidden keypad to disable secondar alarm device. Besides that I have 3 antennas on my trunk lid (no I am not a cop or goverment spook.. CB/HAM/Scanner) and thus most people are afraid to pass me on the highway might as well break into my car and steal stuff.

When my step-father was working for the feds he swore by a small carry (.32/.380/9mm) and a shoulder holster. Now he uses a lot of inside the belt or on the leg holsters. Maybe that will help somehow.
