Make sure they will take actual CZ mags - Armalite sells a Turk-made AR24 pistol that has good reviews, but takes an oddbag mag compatible with no other CZ, hence not interchangeable.

caniks come with mec-gars, all i have found so far is positive.

The Turkish Canik55 TP9 (sold by Century Arms) is actually a Walther P99 clone (the Walther P99 night sights will fit, for example), but the cut for the mag catch is slightly different than the one on the P99.

The Turkish Sarsilmaz B6P is a CZ-75 clone, while the Turkish Sarsilmaz K2P uses a SIG-type barrel lockup in the ejection port. Both the B6P and the K2P take the same mag (16 or 17 rd depending on who's talking) even though European American Armory (the importer) has a different SKU for them.

The TP9 mags are made by Mec-Gar and are so marked. The mags for the other two pistols may be made by Mec-Gar, but they are not so marked.

I'm talking only about the 9x19mmP guns here...

Seems Century is opening a line of Canik accessories:

At least for the TP9 series. They claim they will add more throughout the year.

I have a 9mm P100 from Canik imported by TriStar arms in KC,MO. It is an all steel clone of a CZ75 compact...well made, and has a nice black cerokote finish. I really like it, and they are very affordable.

The plastic OEM grips were replaced with a set of Cool Hand G10 grips from ez-grips. Direct fit with ones made for a compact CZ75.

MecGar compact CZ75 mags fit and function perfectly...MidWay had them on sale at $20 each. They fit flush to the mag well, unlike the factory mag in the picture.

I traded into a Turk made all steel SP-01 type clone. Shoots sweet.

On the other hand I've noticed that real CZ-75s tend to sell pretty cheap on used market (and NoVa is generally high compared to other areas) - $400 is about the going price so might be worth it to spend a bit more and get the real thing.
